Using advice from the forum the intake valve guides were pressed into the block. It's interesting to see the change from stock lift to the new FR89 lift. They stand 0.750" above the block as per the workshop manual. The downside to all of this lift is that I have created an interference engine, especially after the .040" gets shaved off the head.
