My Porting Experience

Old 1147 intake valve is a perfect fit inside the intake port opening, and an 1147 exhaust valve fits perfectly inside the intake valve seat.

Flat side of port cleaned up to 1.25" in to the port, before the downward turn begins.

Back sides of ports after quick flapper, post flat section removal.
I am working on the other pair of intake ports to get then all round to the same depth. I am anticipating the next step will be to start on the valve side of the post and clean up the area where the valve guide protrudes. Then I will work a little on each port to match the ends as smoothly as possibly. Hopefully doing it a small step at a time will ensure uniformity between the ports.

My main reference image is this one of Dave Powell's head.
