Parts and Tires

The car is coming along greatly. As you can see here the trunk and lower from valence still need to be sanded and primed. Soon I will remove all the hardware again and give it a final spray most likely with some white glassy Tremclad from CT. I was able to get tires through a friend for $100. they are some 175/70 R13's mounted on stock 13"x4.5" rims, quite a bit bigger than the previous 155's on 3.5" rims. When I took the car out in the previous video it handled great, miles better than it handled with the tiny tires. They have a bit to meaty of a tread but they will get the car on the road.
The picture below is me and the spitty posing. Two years after the second car was purchased and 4 or 5 after the first purchase. It feels so good to finally be driving the car. You can see the new colour I painted the rims; it's much darker than original. The jury is still out on whether I like it or not. I was hoping it would hide the giant sidewalls of the tires and make it look a little more sporty. The front end will definitely be lowered by ~3/4" and new springs(480lb/in) will be ordered with my government cheque.

The new parts to come in are the inner and outer waist seal clips for the door glass, some snaps for the convertible top, gaskets for the door handles and an e-brake plug to seal the whole where the cable goes through the body. I can't wait to get home and get these simple parts on the car. These small parts are the ones I have been afraid of trying to find and getting them just gives me so much energy to get this car on the road and driving. I'm just waiting on a trunk hinge that's on it's way in the mail now. Special Thanks to TriumphLux at The Sideways Tech Forum for helping me out with that.
