Porting Progress

I will have to get some batteries for my proper camera and get some better images up. Here are some pictures taken with my blackberry because of a request. I have only port matched the inlets, and continued their circular shape further down into the port using an 1147 inlet valve which fits nicely in the port opening.
In the image below you can see a slight change is colour about where the short side radius is, this is where I have stopped porting; about 1/2" shy of the valve guide.
For best visibility I found that sending light up through the ports worked best. I also did this while I was rounding out the ports. I would simply put the valve in the port see where it was tight(dark) and where is was a bit oversize(light) and would just touch up the tight spots and I worked my way slowly down into the port. To stop myself from staring at a bare light bulb all the time I would cover up the top part of the bulb.
I haven't modified the short side radius yet but I plan to follow this thread
The area to tackle!

I am also looking into picking up a copy of Scientific Design of Exhaust & Intake Systems (Engineering and Performance) which from what i hear is the definitive book on header design. If I can get this head to flow than I am going to need a manifold that can keep up and for the price of the proper ones I could easily have my own made to spec.
