Another fix, ditching that twisty throttle linkage and going to a much more refined cable. I am hoping I can just make a couple of cuts and bends and end up with something like this. Baddah Big!
In all fairness I am having trouble locating a pedal assembly from the late model cars which were throttle cable so I am just going to make my own up. Below is a quick bracket, other than that all I really need is a bushing to weld to the old pedal linkage and a means of attaching the spring. for the actual cable I will just use bicycle brake cable and similar fittings.
